Tuesday: New East Baton Rouge Parish Superintendent of Schools Warren Drake will outline his plans to reform the local school system at the Ronald Reagan Newsmaker Luncheon to be held at  Café Américain, 7521 Jefferson Hwy. A reception begins at 11:30 a.m., with lunch and presentation to follow at noon. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions. Lunch is $17, payable to the restaurant. Wednesday: Eric Edwards, Livingston Parish Tourism executive director, is guest speaker of the Livingston Board of Realtors general membership meeting, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Forrest Grove Plantation, 8743 Stephenson Drive, in Denham Springs. Livingston Parish President Layton Ricks will address the audience. Cost is $20 in advance, including lunch; $25 at the door. Register to attend.

Wednesday: An 8(a) Certification Boot Camp for government contracting will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Louisiana Technology Park, 7117 Florida Blvd. The event is free. Get complete details and register to attend.

Thursday: The Baton Rouge Area Foundation hosts a public meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. at the LSU Lod Cook Alumni Center, 3838 W Lakeshore Drive, to reveal the final plan for dredging and enhancing the lakes near City Park and LSU. RSVP to attend.

Thursday-Friday: The 2015 Louisiana Export Training Program takes place over two days, with sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the offices of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, 3113 Valley Creek Drive. Cost is $125, including lunch and course materials. The training program is aimed at new export business managers, marketing and sales staff who need export training, experienced exporters who want a refresher, or anyone involved in the export process.
