Tuesday: Retired CIA Analyst Peter Pry will address the Louisiana Public Service Commission on the subject of electrical grid security at a 9:30 a.m. meeting. The meeting will be at the Galvez Building, 1201 N. Third St. room B.

Wednesday: Network and learn more about Guaranty Media at a Downtown Business Association open house event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Guaranty Media’s office at 929 Government St. This membership recruitment event is an opportunity for DBA members to bring others who may be interested in joining the association.

Wednesday: Bank On Baton Rouge, a financial education group, will host a free workshop on how to apply for a loan at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Library, 7711 Goodwood Blvd. Get more information.

Thursday: Forum 35 will host the unique wine competition “Uncorked,” an evening of fundraising and wine tasting in the Capital City, starting at 6 p.m. at the USS KIDD Veterans Museum.
