Wednesday: Mason Dupre and Mitzi Barber are the featured presenters at this month’s 1 Million Cups entrepreneurial and pitch program. The event will take place at 9 a.m. at the Main Library at Goodwood, 7711 Goodwood Blvd. Dupre will present Woolly Threads, a clothing company founded in an LSU campus apartment, and Barber will present Aquiem, a formulated water to enhance the flavor of coffee.
July 12: The 2016 Diversity Summit for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Baton Rouge Chapter takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library, 9200 Bluebonnet Blvd. The summit’s topic addresses how to become a better fundraiser within a diverse audience. July 12: Col. Mike Edmonson, Louisiana State Police superintendent, will address the Better Business Bureau Luncheon from noon until 1 p.m. at the Oak Lodge Reception Conference Center, 2834 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd. Registration opens at 11:30 a.m. Topics covered will include an update on public safety, a threat assessment of Louisiana and the leadership role in crisis management.
