Tuesday: Gov. John Bel Edwards and state Treasurer John Kennedy will speak at the 2016 Oil & Gas Industry Day which will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the Capitol Park Welcome Center, 702 N. River Road. Get more information.

Wednesday: The Baton Rouge Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors will have its monthly meeting from noon to 1 p.m. at Oak Lodge Reception & Conference Center, 2834 S. Friday: A panel of tax experts will recap the Louisiana special session from 9 a.m. to noon at the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry Conference Center, 3113 Valley Creek Drive. The event is free to LABI members and $25 for non-LABI members. Get more information.

Saturday: Learn how to write a news release and conduct yourself in an interview at a Media 101 workshop scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. until noon in the Dumas Conference Room of the Magnolia Building at Baton Rouge Community College, 201 Community College Drive.
