Wednesday – A National Business Incubator Association webinar, hosted by Charles D’Agostino, executive director of the LSU Louisiana Business & Technology Center, will begin at 1 p.m. The focus of the event is strategies for running a successful student incubation program. Aug. 17-19 – The Center for Planning Excellence will hold its annual Smart Growth Summit in the Shaw Center. Tom Murphy, the former mayor of Pittsburgh and a senior resident fellow with the Urban Land Institute, will be the keynote speaker. Aug. 24 – The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality will hold its annual Green Business Expo from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at its offices on North 5th Street. Exhibitors and presenters will display environmentally friendly products and technologies that offer cost saving opportunities.
