Today through Friday — Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week offers a wide range of events in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit in the Capital Region, create a sense of community among local entrepreneurs, highlight the assets of the region and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. Wednesday — Business Report and the Baton Rouge Area Chamber present the 2012 Economic Outlook as part of the Louisiana Entrepreneur Forum at the Renaissance Hotel, 7000 Bluebonnet Blvd. Registration and a continental breakfast will take place from 7:30 to 8 a.m., with the program to follow until 9:30 a.m. Speakers include Baton Rouge Area Chamber President and CEO Adam Knapp; Esperance Pharmaceuticals President and CEO Dr. Hector Alila; Lipsey’s Chairman Richard Lipsey; The Receivables Exchange President and Co-founder Nicolas Perkin; and Robbie Vitrano, co-founder of Trumpet, Naked Pizza and Idea Village. Cost is $20 per ticket or $200 per table, and registration is available here.
Wednesday — 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge, in partnership with the 2011 Brotherhood Sisterhood Dinner Committee, will host the 49th annual awards dinner at 7 p.m. at the Hilton Capitol Center, 201 Lafayette St. This year’s honorees are Roberta Madden, a former YWCA activist, and Leodrey Williams, chancellor of the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center. Tickets sold individually are $115 per person. Table sponsorships are available at the following levels: Gold, $3,500; Silver, $2,500; and Bronze, $1,500.
