Tuesday: BREC hosts a public meeting to reveal a new master plan for Howell Community Park, including new amenities that will replace the golf course at the park. The meeting takes place from 4 to 7 p.m. at the park’s recreation center, 5509 Winbourne Ave.

Tuesday: The Chamber of Commerce of East Baton Rouge hosts a forum for candidates running for Baton Rouge City Court Judge and House District 61. An 11:30 a.m. reception will precede the forum, which begins at noon at Café Américain, 7521 Jefferson Highway. The cost of the luncheon is $17, payable to the restaurant.

Thursday-Friday: Baton Rouge Community College hosts a free grant writing workshop for nonprofit organizations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The workshop will be held at the college’s Mid City campus, 201 Community Drive, in the Bienvenue Student Center, room 152.
