They are industrial contractors, noted philanthropists, franchisees and software developers. But they all have one thing in common: To borrow a phrase from management guru Peter Drucker, they have dared the impossible and achieved the extraordinary.
One built a Gulf Coast instruction empire from an office in his garage store room. Another was a brick mason apprentice with an itch to go out on his own. A tech firm launched by a teenager now has clients around the globe.

The Business Awards were started in 1984 to pay tribute to remarkable individuals and companies in the local business sector to recognize their many accomplishments. In 1993, Business Report brought in a partner, Junior Achievement, to present the awards, and the Hall of Fame category was added to recognize a lifetime of achievement.

Tickets are still available for the 2015 Business Awards & Hall of Fame Banquet, presented by Business Report and Junior Achievement of Greater Baton Rouge and Acadiana.
