Louisiana Oil & Gas Association President Don Briggs continues to recover from injuries sustained in an accidental fall in September, and is rehabilitating through inpatient care at a Houston facility.

As The Advertiser reports, LOGA says Briggs has been moved for care from TIRR Herman Memorial Hospital in Houston to another inpatient facility. Briggs’ health “is progressing daily and prognosis is good for recovery,” the association says.

Briggs sustained a head injury after slipping in a stairway in a private residence in North Carolina in the early afternoon of Sept. 30. He was taken first to an Asheville, North Carolina, medical facility, then later moved to Lafayette for further treatment, before going to Houston for additional care.

“According to his physicians, his health is progressing daily and prognosis is good for recovery,” LOGA says. “The Briggs family is grateful for the outpouring of well wishes and prayers and continues to appreciate your consideration of their privacy at this time.”
