Phillip LaFargue has left his job as communications director at CPEX to lead BRAC’s marketing efforts, BRAC announced this morning. “We are thrilled to have Phillip join a talented team at BRAC. His experience and fresh ideas will bring tremendous value to our team,” says BRAC President/CEO Adam Knapp in a prepared statement. “BRAC has continually been recognized for its outstanding marketing efforts, and this addition will strengthen our efforts to lead economic development in the region.” LaFargue’s hiring comes on the heels of the departure of Meg Mahoney, who left her position as BRAC senior vice president of regional competitiveness on Feb. 22 to manage public affairs for Methanex. She had been with BRAC since 2006. On Dec. 28, Mike Odom ended a more than six-year tenure as a BRAC spokesman to become vice president of marketing at LABI. LaFargue, who had been with CPEX since June 2009, will serve as senior vice president of marketing for BRAC.
