BRAC names new executive vice president and COO

Erin Monroe Wesley, who has served as BRAC’s senior vice president of governmental affairs for more than three years, has been tapped as the agency’s vice president and chief operating officer, BRAC announced this morning. Wesley will continue to lead BRAC’s advocacy efforts at the state, regional and local levels in her new role, including directing the organization’s lobbying efforts. As EVP/COO, she will also oversee the day-to-day operations of BRAC while directing the implementation its five-year strategic plan, the Creative Capital Agenda. Wesley is taking over a position vacated by Giles Whiting, who recently left BRAC after less than two years on the job to work in the private sector. “Erin has been a great asset to BRAC and gained the trust of our staff and board. She has a high level of professionalism, strong leadership skills, and a passion for economic development,” says BRAC President/CEO Adam Knapp in a prepared statement.
