Envōc, the Baton Rouge-based software development and design company, is expanding its offices in Perkins Rowe. The company is currently located in a 2,500-square-foot space on the second floor of a building it shares with Cinemark, Urban Outfitters and VooDoo BBQ & Grill. Envōc is expanding to vacant 4,000-square-foot offices that overlook the Cinemark lobby, which is topped with a grand chandelier.
“We’ve been talking about it for over a year,” says Calvin Fabre, president and founder of Envōc. The company could not come to an agreement on the lease with the previous property manager, but Stirling Properties began managing the mixed-use community in January. Hammond-based Holly & Smith Architects are designing the remodel of the new office space. Fabre says final designs are due in two weeks. He expects the buildout to take over three months and for Envōc to move in February.
Fabre says the expansion was spurred by the growth of the business. The new space will allow some members of the Envōc team who relocated to Hammond to move back to Baton Rouge, he notes.
