“MESH is moving on up,” says realtor George Kurz, who represented the Baton Rouge-based advertising company in its purchase of a three-story, more than 7,000-square-foot building in the Wrenwood office park for $700,000.

Driven by growth of the firm, MESH is moving from another building in the same park where it currently leases space, Kurz says. Updates, like new carpet and paint, are planned for the new building, he adds.

Taylor Bennett, the owner and creative director of MESH, says the firm will occupy two suites on the second floor, which will give the company almost 3,000 square feet of space for its 13 employees, nearly doubling the space they currently occupy.

“We want to have more open space for collaboration, with all of our creative and social media and writers all in the same room,” Bennett says.

Bennett says they plan to lease the two suites on the ground floor, and use the third floor, about 1,200 square feet, for storage. The building is addressed at 7924 Wrenwood Blvd., just off Jefferson Highway, and it was purchased from its previous occupants, New Orleans-based law firm Taylor, Wellons, Politz & Duhe. Mathew LaBorde and Branon Pesnell with Beau Box Commercial Real Estate represented the sellers. The law firm has relocated its Baton Rouge offices to United Plaza, LaBorde says.

MESH’s clients include Woman’s Hospital, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and the Manship Theatre, as well as many other local businesses and organizations. —Kelly Connelly
