Booth named to international task force

Col. Joseph Booth, executive director of the LSU Stephenson Disaster Management Institute, has been asked to join an international business task force that will help Japan recover from last month’s devastating earthquake and tsunami. This initiative, titled Partnership for Recovery and a Stronger Future: Task Force on U.S.-Japan Cooperation after 3/11, is in collaboration with the Japan Business Federation and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. “I am honored to serve on this task force, which has the important mission to assist in the recovery of Japan.” Booth says. “CSIS has assembled a world-class team of leaders, and I am confident in both the success of this team and in the strength of the Japanese people.”
