Business Report announced today that its BizTech Expo will mark its 29th year by making the transition from the South’s largest traditional business-to-business trade show to the first virtual business and technology exposition. Beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 4, BizTech Expo will open for 100 hours as a marketplace for attendees and exhibitors alike—all online.
The Virtual BizTech Expo will be a portal designed to give visitors direct access to a select group of south Louisiana’s top business and technology companies. Exhibitors will be able to provide information, photos and videos of their products and services in their virtual “booths.” Attendees can also chat live with exhibitors, via text or video, in the BizTech Expo Hall area.
In conjunction with the five-day virtual expo, a special live event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5. The Louisiana Economic Symposium will begin with a breakfast at the Crowne Plaza, co-hosted by the Louisiana Technology Council. This will be followed by a series of seminars. And the symposium will conclude with the Top 100 Private Companies Luncheon, featuring LSU economist Loren Scott.
Rolfe McCollister, publisher of Business Report, says, “Business Report has always embraced change and loved innovation. We are excited about this evolution of the expo and feel it’s appropriate in the 21st century.”
Pre-registration and information on the show is available at BizTechExpo.com. The show and symposium are sponsored by Hancock Bank, Gulf South Business Systems & Consultants, Verizon Wireless, Superior Office Products and WAFB.
