Ninja warrior obstacle courses, circus arts, parkour—these are just a few of the exciting attractions you can expect to find at GymFit Fest on Saturday.

As Best of 225 This Week reports, the free festival aims to bring Baton Rougeans of all ages together under the umbrella of physical fitness. It’s being hosted by GymFit, a local all-in-one fitness facility specializing in gymnastics, acrobatics and dance, and will take place at Galvez Plaza from 3 to 9 p.m.

The festival starts with a series of workshops and classes focusing on everything from balloon animals and hula hoops to aerial hammocks and trapezes. While these workshops are being conducted, live musical performers will take the festival stage. See the full schedule of workshops and musical performances here.

Attendees of all ages can also participate in contests throughout the day, such as the ninja warrior obstacles courses and parkour competitions. These contests will be broken up into age brackets.

Not all activities will require physical participation. There will live performances, too—from fire spinners to high-flying aerial spectacles. The event’s main attraction, GymFit’s Bayou Cirque, will take place from 4 to 9 p.m.
