Baton Rouge has made a pair of top 10 lists: for joyousness and for Gulf Coast travel destinations. The Capital Region was ranked second in Shutterfly’s most joyous city list. The photo-sharing website determined the rankings based on photos from a city of happy occasions, such as weddings, births and graduations, along with photo sharing per capita. New York was ranked as the most joyous city, while New Orleans was third and Lafayette was seventh. Moreover, Baton Rouge was ranked 10th in Gulfscapes Magazine‘s list of best Gulf Coast towns. The rankings were determined by an online survey. Baton Rouge was the only city in Louisiana and the only non-beach destination to make the list. Pensacola, Fla., topped the rankings.
