Baton Rouge Magnet High has made Newsweek’s list of the country’s top 500 high schools. Baton Rouge Magnet came in 122nd on the list, whose rankings are based on the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and/or Cambridge tests students take. It is the only Capital Region school on the list and one of three statewide to be recognized by the magazine. Benjamin Franklin in New Orleans came in 27th, and the Louisiana School for Math, Science & the Arts in Natchitoches placed 256th.
