It’s moving day today for the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance. The organization, which represents about 63 petrochemical, energy, paper, pharmaceutical, storage terminal and other industrial facilities in the region, has outgrown its longtime headquarters at One Perkins Place, says executive director Connie Fabre.
The alliance’s former headquarters, where it has been located for the past decade, measure about 2,200 square feet. The space it’s moving into at suite 202 in Building 4 of the United Plaza Office Park off Essen Lane is about 3,700 square feet.
“This will give us better access for our members and we’ll have a much larger conference room,” Fabre says. “Our old conference room was comfortable for about 20, but we really need space for about 40.”
The alliance formerly leased its headquarter space at One Perkins Place, which is located on Perkins Road near the intersection of Kenilworth Parkway, and will continue to lease in its new location. Four full-time GBRIA employees, including Fabre, work from the alliance’s headquarters.
