Baton Rouge General announced two changes to its executive leadership team this morning, promoting Vice President of Operations Stephen Mumford to COO and naming Erik Showalter as president of the Baton Rouge General Foundation.

Mumford joined the hospital as a nurse in 2005, and has since served in multiple positions. As COO, he will oversee the operations of Baton Rouge General Physicians and Baton Rouge Rehabilitation Hospital as well as business development, physician partnerships, ancillary services and service departments for BRG.

In 2016, the BRG Foundation recruited Showalter from CCS Fundraising in Washington, D.C., where he served as assistant vice president. In that role, he launched a three-year campaign for the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center.
