A pair of Baton Rouge-based firms have formed a strategic partnership that they say will allow them to expand commercial real estate services across the Capital Region.
The partnership between Sperry Van Ness/Graham, Langlois and Legendre, and VR Business Brokers, will allow the former to add professional brokerage services to its lineup of commercial real estate services. VR Business Brokers, meanwhile, will see its team enhanced by the resources of Sperry Van Ness/Graham, Langlois and Legendre.
“There is a natural synergy between the operations of commercial real estate and business sales,” says VR Business Brokers owner and CEO Camm Morton in a prepared statement. “Nearly every business involves some aspect of real estate—either because of ownership or because there is a lease that must be transferred to a new owner. The two are very much intertwined.”
Over his 30-plus year career spearheading complex office, industrial, retail, land and investment ventures throughout the country, Morton is perhaps best known locally for his renovation of the historic Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in downtown Baton Rouge.
“Camm brings a wealth of experience and a track record of success to our team that will enable us to offer more complementary services to our clients,” says Sperry Van Ness /Graham, Langlois and Legendre Managing Director Ben Graham in a statement. “They can now come to us with any conceivable commercial real estate transaction need and we’ve got them covered.”
Since being launched in September of last year, Sperry Van Ness/Graham, Langlois and Legendre says it has tripled in size, with over $60 million in sales inventory.
