Local entrepreneur Ned Pearson, whose growing line of Audiobomb products includes inexpensive, waterproof Bluetooth speakers, is expanding internationally.
Pearson has signed deals with distributors to carry his products in Australia, Mexico and Quebec. He expects to move quickly into several European markets as well.
“It has been really well received overseas,” he says. “There’s just nothing else like it out there.”
Pearson’s company—which is actually called 300 Concept, not Audiobomb, the name of the company’s best-known brand—is also launching a new brand that will roll out two new products in the coming weeks. The new brand is called Life Logic, and its products include a high-tech cooling towel and a floating, heat-resistant phone case. Like the products under the Audiobomb brand, Life Logic products will be high-tech and developed for poolside or beach use. Unlike Audiobomb products, Life Logic products will branch beyond the audio product sector.
“The name Audiobomb kind of restricted us,” Pearson says. “There are so many great ideas and products I want to do that don’t fit that brand.”
Pearson plans to sell the Life Logic products internationally as well. He debuted them earlier this month at an international trade show and says they were a hit.
Part of the success of the three-year-old company’s growth has been its distribution model. Pearson does not sell directly to retailers but rather to buying groups and pool company distributors, who then sell his products. The company has some 30 sales representatives around the world.
Sales this year are expected to top $1 million for the first time, but Pearson says if all goes as expected 2016 will see tremendous revenue growth.
“Next year will be huge,” he predicts.
