Holden-based emergency vehicle manufacturer Ferrara Fire Apparatus has developed a record-breaking fire engine able to pump more water than any others, and is unveiling the Guinness World Record-holding truck to the international market this week.
The Inundator Super Pumper, Ferrari’s newest vehicle, was awarded the title for highest-pumping capacity fire engine this year, and is on display for the first time at fire prevention and disaster relief trade show Interschutz 2015 in Hanover, Germany.
“We chose the Interschutz 2015 to unveil the Inundator Super Pumper because it truly is a global stage,” says Johnny Carroll, company vice president of sales.
Interschutz 2015 started today in Hanover and will continue through the end of the week. Ferrara is one of more than 50 exhibitors from the United States.
Ferrara Fire Apparatus sells custom fire engines, aerial ladders and platforms, and other emergency vehicles worldwide. Carroll says this new fire engine will set a new standard for the level of water pumping capabilities in fire.
“A new bar has been set and there has never been a piece of fire equipment built that will have such an impact,” Carroll says. “Ferrara continues to be the most innovative Fire Apparatus manufacturer in the world.”
Ferrara was founded in 1979, and consistently ranks in the top five fire apparatus manufacturers in the U.S, with more than 5,000 fire and rescue vehicles in use. —Deanna Narveson
