Three Louisiana daycare centers, including Ms. Gerry’s After School Service in Baker, are in jeopardy of losing their licenses after the state issued revocation notices to the businesses. In addition to notifying the Baker business, the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services sent notices to Tiny Tots Learning Center of Homer and R & L Learning Center of Avondale. Violations at Ms. Gerry’s include employing an individual listed on a registry that indicates he or she abused or neglected a child. The center also was cited for leaving a child without supervision on the premises. A listed phone number for Ms. Gerry’s was no longer in service when called this afternoon. Tiny Tots and R & L both were cited for improper criminal records checks. The three centers have 15 days to appeal the state’s decision.
