The Belle of Baton Rouge and Hollywood Casino together raked in approximately $14.9 million in September, a 1% increase from the same month in 2010, according to a report released today by the state’s Gaming Control Board. The Belle of Baton Rouge saw a 2.5% increase in winnings on the month, for a total of $5.8 million; Hollywood Casino winnings were flat on the month at slightly more than $9 million. By comparison, the five casinos in Shreveport/Bossier City collectively won $55.1 million in September, a 4.3% increase from the same month in 2010; the three in the Lake Charles market won $40.9 million, a 12.7% increase; and the three riverboat casinos in New Orleans won $23.3 million, a 2.7% decrease. The state’s lone land-based casino, Harrah’s Casino in New Orleans, won $30.8 million, an 11.4% increase.
