The BizTech Expo has several new features this year, but one new live event, called “5-on-5,” could well be described as “ultimate networking” or “extraordinary mentoring.” Business owners, CEOs, partners and C-level executives can register to be one of five people to win face-to-face time with a panel of successful local executives and entrepreneurs. Each winner will get a 10-minute session with each of the distinguished panelists to talk business and get advice or ideas pertinent to their own company. The panel includes business leaders Mike Wampold of Wampold Companies, Bill Borne of Amedisys, Leah Simon of Tsunami, Lane Grigsby of Cajun Industries and Joe Agresti of Mercedes-Benz of Baton Rouge.

The five winners will be invited to the Top 100 Private Companies Luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The 5-on-5 sessions will take place following the luncheon, which will feature Loren Scott’s 2012-13 economic forecast. To be eligible to win, one must pre-register for the BizTech Expo and meet qualifications as outlined here. The deadline to enter is 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22.
