The Cove moving out of CitiPlace this weekend
The Cove bar is saying goodbye to CitiPlace Court this weekend after operating for a decade at the Corporate Boulevard retail center. The bar will temporarily close after Saturday, according to a Facebook post.
While a new location and reopening date have yet to be determined, the post goes on to say the bar will open again “as soon as possible under a newer, fresher concept.”
Since opening in 2008, the bar—owned by Tom Ange, who also owns Port Royal—has become known for its wide selection of beer and alcohol. Ange could not be reached for comment before this morning’s deadline.
Property leasing agent Carmen Austin, of Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Realty, says she already has several tenants eyeing the 4,218-square-foot space as well as the adjacent 5,570-square-foot space vacated over the summer by Corporate Brew & Draft, another Ange concept.
“It’s perfect for a high-end jazz bar or a local brewery with the patio area,” says Austin, noting both spots are move-in ready and zoned for bar use.
