Berkshire Hathaway expands presence in south Louisiana with real estate acquisition

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Bobby Tallo Realty has expanded its present in Tangipahoa Parish by acquiring Pezant Real Estate in Hammond. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

According to a news release, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Bobby Tallo Realty, which has offices in Denham Springs, will add 13 agents to its team. Bob Pezant, who’s operated the brokerage since 2000, also will join Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Bobby Tallo Realty as an agent and mentor.

Pezant says joining the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand means that Pezant Real Estate will have access to a wealth of tools, resources and support such as the Global Network Platform, professional education and the Luxury Collection program of high-end and resort listings.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices recently acquired the former residential division of Donnie Jarreau Real Estate in Baton Rouge. The new firm is called Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices-United Properties. It is co-owned by Jonathan Starns and Chase Muller.

Tallo, formerly of Coldwell Banker, joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices in July 2015.
