Baton Rouge General buys out partners for two imaging centers in $4.5M deal
Baton Rouge General has bought out its partners in a pair of diagnostic imaging service centers on Dijon Drive and O’Neal Lane for $4.5 million.
In a sale that closed today, Baton Rouge Radiology Group sold its 50% stake in the centers at 5422 Dijon Drive and 2550 O’Neal Lane to Baton Rouge General. The General says it has entered into a management services agreement with BRRG for both centers, as well as two others that it operates at its Bluebonnet Boulevard and Mid City locations.
“This means that physicians at Baton Rouge Radiology Group will be involved in daily operations at all four facilities, allowing for seamless coordination of radiology services,” reads a statement from the hospital provided to Daily Report.
With the purchase, Baton Rouge General says patients will be able to get diagnostic imaging services at all four locations, beginning Saturday.
The imaging center at Dijon Drive is 9,223 square feet, while the O’Neal location measures 8,009 square feet. According to sales documents, the managing member of BRRG is Dr. William Gregoire, with 21 other doctors involved as members.
Baton Rouge General’s purchase comes in the same week the hospital announced co-management agreements for the hospital’s cardiovascular service line with the Baton Rouge Cardiology Center and the Cardiovascular Institute of the South. The agreements offer patients collaborative care from physicians trained in cardiology, radiology, nuclear medicine, electrophysiology and prevention services.
