Another Broken Egg Café is set to return to the Baton Rouge market this fall. The restaurant is renovating the Harold’s formerly occupied in Citiplace. Plans are to have a restaurant with 130 seats, including an outdoor patio and a breakfast bar. Double R Restaurant Group of Lafayette will operate the location. Another Broken Egg will be open for breakfast, lunch and brunch seven days a week, with private events, such as banquets and business meetings, held there during evening hours. Mandeville-based Another Broken Egg had two Baton Rouge restaurants about three years ago. But it closed its O’Neal Lane location because of slow weekday sales; and its Old Hammond restaurant was rebranded, then forced to close after the franchisee was sued for violating a non-compete clause and using trade secrets.
