Companion Animal Alliance Board Executive Director Laura Hinze submitted her letter of resignation today, says CAA Board Chair Christel Slaughter, less than two months after CAA took over shelter and adoptions operations from the city-parish. “The management changes follow a 30 day study by the CAA board which resulted in a number of operational and protocol changes to continue to improve the shelter,” Slaughter says in a brief email confirming Hinze’s resignation. “Interim management has been put in place by the CAA board and a search committee was immediately established.”
