All of Louisiana’s statewide elected officials, including Gov. Bobby Jindal, have signed up for re-election as qualifying for the Oct. 22 primary opened. Jindal, Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne, Secretary of State Tom Schedler, Attorney General Buddy Caldwell, Treasurer John Kennedy, Agriculture Commissioner Mike Strain and Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon paid their filing fees Tuesday and filled out their paperwork. All are Republicans. Though Jindal has no well-funded opposition, he says he’s not taking his re-election for granted. Qualifying continues through Thursday.
