Albemarle forms environmental division

Albemarle Corporation announced today the formation of Albemarle Environmental Division, which will focus on the air-pollution control industry. The division will work on expanding product and service offerings for Albemarle’s environmental business through the development of multipollutant control technologies, according to a release. Albemarle Environmental Division is a part of the company’s Fine Chemistry Global Business Unit and is a full-service provider to the coal-fired utility, cement kiln and industrial boiler markets, supplying a variety of proprietary, powder-activated carbon sorbents, advanced sorbent injection systems, bromine chemicals for mercury removal, and testing and demonstration services.
