NANA Development Corp. has purchased Grand Isle Shipyard, an oil and gas services company. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. NANA officials say the transition in ownership will be “seamless” and that operations will continue as usual. They say the entire management team of Grand Isle Shipyard, including its president and chief executive, will stay on in the same capacity. Galliano-based Grand Isle Shipyard has about 1,400 employees, and the contract services it provides are largely focused on maintenance and repair of offshore oil and gas platforms. NANA Development Corp., the business arm of NANA Regional Corp., an Alaska Native corporation, is involved in mining, oil and gas, engineering, and construction and facilities management.
