A site plan to revitalize an abandoned apartment complex on Darryl Drive off of Sherwood Forest Drive will be considered by the Planning Commission at its January meeting.

The plan—filed by Sonoma Housing, Donald Case and Evans-Graves Engineers—calls for the complex to be demolished and then reconstructed as four buildings—three apartment buildings and a club.

The property, formerly Brandywine Apartments, was condemned by the Metro Council in 2017, but the council reversed its decision in February.

Businessman Roy Maughan Jr. and City Holdings LLC bought several of the condos in 2016, and told WBRZ-TV earlier this year that he planned to demolish the buildings and turn the area into a senior living center.
