300seats is bringing the “pop-up restaurant” concept to Baton Rouge, with the first events scheduled for this weekend. Bringing together teams of chefs, entertainers and artists, the idea is to transform an out-of-use space in the Perkins Rowe courtyard into an innovative restaurant experience, says 300seats founder Manny Valencia. “The pop-up restaurant movement is happening all around the world, in cities like London, Madrid, New York and now Baton Rouge,” Valencia says. “Each of the seatings will be a unique experience, as we look to intersect cuisine, art and culture.” Three pop-up restaurant events are scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Tickets and more information are available here.
