Bring your basket, pack a flashlight, and take the kids hunting for some eggs at BREC’s Lights Out Egg Hunt tonight at Plank Road Park. The free event starts at 6 p.m. and will feature a flashlight hunt, a short movie entertainment, and a photo op with the Easter Bunny. Games, arts and crafts, and fun challenges are also scheduled. Also, in observance of the holiday weekend, BREC’s Baton Rouge Gallery will be closed Friday through Sunday; but the Baton Rouge Zoo as well as BREC recreation centers, golf courses and tennis facilities will remain open as usual through the weekend. The Cohn Arboretum, Farr Park Equestrian Center, Magnolia Mound Plantation, Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, Highland Road Park Observatory and Independence Park Theatre will be closed on Sunday.
