Award-winning dancer and choreographer Debbie Allen is in Baton Rouge this week for performances of a new production, “Derek’s Song: Here’s to Life.” The show honors the life of the late Arts Council CEO Derek Gordon and features local dancers and talent trained by Allen. Performances will be held Thursday through Sunday at the Baton Rouge Community College’s Magnolia Performing Arts Pavilion. Tickets are $20. The show will start at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. There will also be shows at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. More information can be found here.
