To celebrate the completion of the BR Walls Project’s second mural downtown, Harrington’s Cafe, 329 Florida St., is hosting a party from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, and all of Baton Rouge is invited. Enjoy a sampling of the restaurant’s dishes and ice cream for the kids while taking in the mural artwork by artist Joseph Konert on the outside of the restaurant. Next door, at the Mentorship Academy, Brian Dixon will host a book-signing party and meet-and-greet. This will be a great opportunity for the community to hear Dixon speak about his book on social media, and to learn more about the groundbreaking work he is doing with his downtown charter school. For the grand finale, the imagery for the upcoming Wall No. 3 on the Mentorship Academy building will be unveiled. It’s all free and open to the public. More information is at brwallsproject.com.
