Each year, a taste of old Oktoberfest arrives in Baton Rouge a little early, in the form of the annual Zapp’s International Beer Festival at LSU’s Rural Life Museum. Come Saturday afternoon, festival goers will be sampling from more than 200 foreign and domestic brews, as well as from a slew of beers from Baton Rouge’s many proud backyard brewers. Jambalaya and non-alcoholic beverages are also available, and all proceeds will benefit the Rural Life Museum, 4560 Essen Lane. Admission is $30, and the event is limited to 1,500 guests. Complete details and ticket info are available at the festival website here, and you can read the rest of this week’s 225 Select e-newsletter here for more local events on tap this weekend and beyond.
