The Manship Theatre is screening a documentary Friday night about one of the greatest bands you’ve probably never heard of: The Replacements. Pioneers of alt-rock, the Minnesota-based band influenced and inspired generations of musicians—and the story of their alcohol-fueled rise and fall is as epic and funny as it is sad and strange. Color Me Obsessed tells the story and holds nothing back in the process. Following the screening, local group Scoundrel’s Auxiliary Band will play a full repertoire of Replacements covers in the Hartley/Vey Studio Theatre. The documentary starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10, and you can get them here. Read the rest of this week’s 225 Select e-newsletter here for more local happenings this weekend and beyond.
