With the start of the new year comes the release of 225’s People to Watch in 2016.
As highlighted in the new issue, the honorees range from Jay Ducote, a well-known local chef and reality TV star, to Avery Kyle, a 9-year-old at Episcopal also making waves in the culinary world, and Jasmin Stowers, an aspiring Olympic athlete, to Mikie Mahtook, an LSU alumnus on the cusp of stardom in Major League Baseball.
No matter what they do, the one thing each of them have in common is they will make an impact in 2016. The magazine captured this year’s group in action doing what they do best—swinging a baseball bat, diving to capture that perfect shot on camera, leaping over hurdles to win the 100-meter race or belting out a song on stage.
You might spot them this year in the Olympics, PGA Championship, in the pages of GQ magazine—or right here in Baton Rouge, making a difference in the classroom.
