Zoroona Mediterranean Grill is on track to open an adjoining hookah lounge and café early next week, general manager Bill Qasem tells 225 Dine.
Zoroona, which in Arabic means “come visit us,” opened at 6900-D Siegen Lane in the Siegen Village Shopping Center in 2014. Qasem says the additional space at the restaurant was originally planned as a Mediterranean market.
“People kept asking for a hookah bar,” says Qasem, who was happy to oblige them. Zoroona is aiming to offer customers a high-end, comfortable lounge experience, he says.
The hookah lounge will include plush seating, flat screen TVs on the walls, a garage-style door that opens up to a covered patio with more seating and an area for live music. It will also offer a small food menu with items familiar to Zoroona guests, made-to-order fresh juices, coffee and several flavors of hookah tobacco.
