As detailed in the new issue of 225 Dine, today’s events include Galatoire’s Bistro’s Friday Before Halloween lunch beginning at 11 a.m. Costumes are welcome. Among the events tonight, the Louisiana Art & Science Museum is hosting a Harry Potter-themed Halloween Night at the Museum beginning at 6:30 p.m., complete with drinks from the museum’s “Leaky Cauldron” and planetarium showings of “The Astronomical World of Harry Potter.” Among the local venues hosting costume contests tonight are The Spanish Moon and Radio Bar.
Though the stormy forecast has caused organizers of the Baton Rouge Halloween Parade to move up the start time of the parade, it will still roll through downtown. Organizers announced Wednesday the start time is being moved from 2 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. The parade route starts at Phillip and Government streets by the River Center.
Also on Halloween, Of Moving Colors presents Zombie Bash 2015 at North Boulevard Town Square. The 5K costume run and 1-mile fun-run begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by a bash featuring food, drinks and music—including a performance of Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
Once night falls on Halloween in Baton Rouge, there’s no shortage of options, with Lava Cantina, The Spanish Moon, Chelsea’s Club, the Texas Club and the Station Sports Bar and Grill among the many bars and venues hosting costume contests and parties.
