After successfully expanding its offerings to include dinner-to-door meal kits and subscriptions, Baton Rouge-based Indie Plate says it plans to take the service statewide by the end of this year.

Indie Plate co-founder and CEO Paritosh Sharma tells 225 Dine the company saw an influx of customers requesting dinner-to-door service after rolling out the kits in January last year. Sharma and his team discussed how to make at-home meal preparation easier, and enlisted the help of Nino’s chef Elton Hyndman to design and craft menus.

“We asked ourselves, ‘What is it about this recipe that we would hate to do at home?’” says Sharma, who launched the local foods delivery service in December 2013 with business partner Ben Bartage.
