Forty-five vendors and 150 artists will showcase their paintings, sculptures, jewelry and more at the 14th annual Hot Art, Cool Nights festival taking place from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday in Mid City.

As 225 Dine reports, the annual art hop takes place along Government Street and Jefferson Highway, bringing a mashup of art, food and live music.

Hosted by Mid City Merchants, the event will feature live music from Matt Lanius, Ship of Fools and Bonfire. Also along the festival route, restaurants such as Bistro Byronz, Brew Ha-Ha!, Curbside Burgers and Monjunis, among other, will be serving up plenty of food.

Mid City Merchants committee member Liz Walker recommends attendees grab a brochure upon arrival and see where vendors are in relation to restaurants. Walker says it’s almost impossible to browse through all of the vendors and have time to eat within the four hours.

A free shuttle service will be available, and two free Uber rides are available for those who use the code posted on the Facebook event page.
