NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The rock group KISS and rapper Eminem are among the roughly 150 acts slated to perform at the 2009 Voodoo Experience, New Orleans’ alternative music festival that’s held over Halloween weekend.
Slated for Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at New Orleans City Park, Voodoo will be the first concert performance for Eminem this year. The lineup also includes Jane’s Addiction, Widespread Panic, The Flaming Lips, Meat Puppets, The Pogues, Janelle Monae, Q-Tip and Ween.
This is the 11th annual Voodoo Experience and the third to coincide with Halloween. The festival is set among City Park’s lush lagoons and oak trees and celebrates music, as well as New Orleans food, arts and culture.
The daily schedule has not been released, but organizers have said KISS will perform on Halloween. For a complete list of performers, click here.
