For anyone who has ever wondered about who’s behind those creepy masks and beneath all that fake blood at the 13th Gate haunted house, Jeff Roedel has a backstage chat with two college students who study by day and scare by night in this month’s 225 magazine. “They squirt fake blood in your mouth or wherever it needs to be,” says Madison Holcomb, a 20-year-old LSU student with a double major in pre-med and theatre. “But that’s when all the actors get excited.” Baton Rouge Community College student Mercy Jones, 23, says, “I’ve always loved the idea of becoming someone else just for a short period of time.
