I was a co-ed in the stands when Mr. Bradley played football at LSU. We were freshman together and he and his teammates will forever be "my Tigers." That is something I am not sure the players fully grasp. Those names, numbers, scores and statistics are part of our history as well. We are the fans and we feel passonately about the current Tigers, but we adored our own boys. They were ours and they represented us, the student section. Mr. Bradley cut a fine figure on the field. He had a swagger and we all knew he would go further than most. I swear an entire generation of Lousiana co-eds learned the art of football watching that man walk up and down that field. Our dates would say,
"Did you see John Ed come off that ball?" We would look at each other and say "Yes, yes we did."
