What a piece of work is mister jr ball. Why don't we put one of mister spinosa's tnd's in mister ball's backyard and listen to old jr squeal like a pig (a la Deliverance).
Of course, mister ball's business acumen is renowned across the parish. It seems that i recall when the administration was consdering the makeup of the East Baton Rouge Parish Mortgage Finance Authority several years ago, the learned "executive editor" of Baton Rouge's "premier" business publication responded that he'd never heard of a mortgage finance authority!
Don't worry folks, there's a lot less there than meets the eye. Don't pay attention to the man behind the curtain.

On What now?

Mister Rolfe,
It's interesting that you and LABI endorse (to the tune of half a million dollars!) and urge us to vote for and support Mr. Decuir in the Senate District 14 race, considering his record of drunken driving and irresponsibility in ignoring a Maryland speeding ticket for years.
Don't take my word for it, check out the actual police reports and court records and decide for yourself. No spin, just the actual court records. They can be viewed at:

www.ethics08.org

Or does it just have something to do with the fact that neither you, LABI, nor nobody else control Representative Yvonne Dorsey? She's never so much as been accused of anything remotely criminal. Come on, Rolfe, be honest with us. And let the people of Senate District 14 vote for whomever best represents ALL the people of District 14.

On What will 2008 bring?

Mister Rolfe,
Had you taken a few moments to look at united's website, you can click 'show flight details' and you'll find out the on-time percentages. If you're too good to do that (yes, i realize you're an important executive), perhaps you should be shopping for a new travel agent who will fully disclose this sort of data so you can make a somewhat educated decision.
Not to defend any airline, but would you rather be somewhere between california and New Orleans at 40000 before they discover the inoperable part of the wing? (perhaps you can use your online poll to see if your readers would rather united find it out with you on the ground or up in the air!)

ps
Try flying in a plane when an engine gets blown off its mount...i bet you'd be needing to change your panties instead of dictating letters to company presidents and congressman who could care less about your thoughts.

Compassion for Edwin Edwards (or anybody else) has never been the publisher's forte. Obviously this isn't hereditary, as his late daddy apologized years ago to the former Governor for Little Rolfie's writings and his momma periodically writes letters of encouragement to him. Little Rolfie, however, continues to be the mouthpiece of his role model Little Budgie (the Banker) Roemer and won't be satisfied unless Edwin Edwards dies a lonely and unhappy death. This, unfortunately, speaks volumes about Little Rolfie and Little Budgie the Banker.
Too bad neither one of them have the class demonstrated by their parents. This must be truly saddening to them.
